Salesforce
Since joining Salesforce in late 2009, I've focused 100% on user research. In my first year I worked in every area from Sales to Analytics. This served me well in terms of understanding the whole product, and gaining experience with the whole gamut of designers and product teams. As a truly Agile shop, we work fast-and-furious supporting three major releases per year.
For the past 3 years I've been dedicated solely to the "Service Cloud," the suite of products used to support large call centers and other customer-service applications. I've coordinated site visits, created personas, and done a ton of remote usability and in-person mobile testing. The customer-service space is changing rapidly, and this work touches on some of the latest trends such as "feed-based" UIs (think Facebook) and mobile self-service apps.
